We Love This Toy Mar 14, 2006 I have been very pleased with this toy. Unlike so many other items that only last for a few months (gymini, saucer, bumper-jumper, etc) this was used by my first son for over two years (I finally had to hide it because he was getting too big for it) and is now used by my second son. No, it doesnt work on cement/asphalt well but it is not advertised for outdoor use nor did I have any expectations that it would. Yes, the safety bar comes of easy if it is not fully assembled - the parent handle must be in place for the safety bar to remain in place securely. When the safety bar is being used unfortunately it does lock the steering wheel in place so that when you manuever around a corner you have to apply a small amount of pressure to the back so that the front lifts, then make your turn. The real use of the toy came not when my son was small and required the safety bar but was starting to walk and would push that thing everywhere and use the compartment to haul toys around (and unfortunately try to run the dog over with it). So, if you are only looking for a sturdy saucer-like toy for an older baby you probably dont want this but for toddlers we have had great fun with it.

Waste of Money Jan 01, 2006 I bought this toy for my son when he was 8 months old. I thought it looked like great fun for him and was a nice change from a stroller when we walked the mall. I found out quickly that this toy was nothing more than an overpriced piece of junk. It flips over at the smallest movement of your child. It tips over when you try to turn left or right when pushing it. Pushing it on cement is a joke all together. This toy ended up in the garbage, what a waste. I would have donated it or given it to a friend but would not do so due to the safety issues with this item.

Unsafe, bad design, not as advertised Nov 15, 2005 My daughter, who is now 18 months, and is fairly tiny for her age was getting stuck every time i tried to lift her out of this thing (she recieved it as a gift about 6 months ago). I was so disappointed. You can't really turn it, and it is not durable enough to take outside the house. Every time my daughter tried to move, she would get stuck and hurt her legs. it sits very low to the ground, making it difficult for her to pedal along the ground. Tips over easily.
Buyers beware! Really, really study this product before purchasing!

DANGEROUS!!!!!!! Aug 05, 2005 Don't buy this. Please read the reviews for this toy. My son received this toy as a gift. I assembled it according to the (quite brief and poorly written) instuctions. On his first try, my son leaned a bit to one side, the saftey barrier came loose and he crashed on the ground. So much for 'saftey.' I then looked up the toy on Amazon to check out the reviews. Sure enough, this has happened to many, many others. This is a very poorly designed toy. Too low to the ground to be a real ride-on toy, and too flimsy to be a rocker. My daughter has a different Chicco ride-on toy that has been great. I don't know how this one got onto the market!

LOVE this toy but... Feb 21, 2005 My son loved this toy - still does - but as he's about in the 150% for his height, he is way too tall for it. He easily climbs over the guard rail and tips the car over on it's side or goes head first over the front. He sits calmly when we take a walk around the block with it, but otherwise, he is very inquisitive and could hurt himself by checking out his car while it's sitting still.
