I am a thin adult female and these fit me pretty well. I liked how it was tough on the outside, so it provided strong protection, but it had gel inside to cushion and comfort your joints during a fall. Very pleased.

They fit my six year old daughter just fine. Given their adjustable nature they would probably fit kids as young as four, depending on size. The elastic in the straps is strong enough to hold the pads in place, but not so tight as to cut off circulation. My only concern is with the propensity of the Velcro hooks to pull up strings from the straps. In time this will probably cause these pads to become unusable, but careful use and storage should extend their usable life long enough to justify the expense.

These are only Ok. Look elsewhere if you are looking for really good ones. I was sold on the "gel" part, but that neither seem to offer extra comfort or protection compared to a well padded gear. The straps are too big for my child and too small for me. It appears that these are made for either a small adult, a big child or an average sized adolescent. The straps on this are poorly designed. Straps on protective pads are usually made to turn around on a ring before getting strapped with velcro. These do not do that and just go straight. Velcro is not long enough to support a decent range of sizes. So, I will use it because I bought them, but will not recommend or buy them again.

Our great grand son received an electric scooter for christmas and He really needed these for protection guards. These are well made and of course he hates wearing them-but he knows our rules. So he wears them and grins.

I got these Mongoose Gel pads at Walmart but they also included wrist guards with the knee pads and elbow pads for a few bucks more. They fit my 6.5 year old son well.... a little big maybe but the adjustability is great and I can make them tight enough on him. He is pretty skinny. He uses them skateboarding mostly and they've protected him on several spills so far. He really likes them. So far, no complaints.
