Great Bike for the Price Feb 28, 2010 Take the time to tinker on it, and you'll be set with a cheap, yet enjoyable road bike that your ignorant friends will be jealous of!
Cheap, cool, and works! Feb 12, 2010 Cool bike for the price. Ride it to school as often as possible. Needs a bit of tuning and screw tightening right out of the box. Surprisingly light. Chain is slipping a little bit with too much torque, still trying to figure out why, probably a tuning thing. Great bike overall. Notice that top bar is not horizontal with the ground, an aesthetics thing if you want a true road bike.
Good Bike Nov 25, 2009 This bike is good. It's light (aluminum) and has cool gear shifters that are easy to read. Make sure you screw in the pedals the correct way. I spent a lot of time adjusting the gears myself because they won't work correctly out of the box. That was trouble. I also feel that the front derailleur is not of great quality because I could not tune it correctly, and I spent a lot of time on it.
Overall. Good bike, I must have put 800 miles on it by now.
Great Bike Mar 31, 2009 This bike is light-weight, well built, and easily adjustable. You will want to get a new seat for this bike, because it is thin and extremely hard on the rear. The front derailleur took a lot of adjustment. In fact, it broke during adjustment. Do your research on how to adjust one properly and be gentle. The shifter is also great. Because of the aluminum frame you get up to speed quickly. I would suggest thing bike to anyone.

Excellent bike for the price Jan 31, 2009 I read many reviews about this bike and other bikes. For the price, one couldn't go wrong. From ordering to assembling the bike, I haven't had a complaint. I did however, have a missing seat quick release, and when I contacted the CSR, she was most helpful and even got a laugh when I told her the seat wouldn't stay in place. I have since received the missing part, and am able to ride without the threat of getting literally turned around. With that said, I do have two issues with the bike. First, as previously stated in several reviews, the seat is not comfortable. GET A GEL SEAT, or at least a cover. It is a very nice looking seat, but after the first week of riding 8 miles round trip to work, I was saddle sore. Secondly, the shifting is only so-so. I have had at least two times where the chain wouldn't go into the gear, and I had to flip gears around. This is a light weight, very smooth bike. I look forward to many more rides on the Volare.
